Sleepovers are a fantastic way to bond with friends, create lasting memories, and have a blast. Whether you’re hosting a sleepover for the first time or looking for fresh ideas, I’ve got you covered! In this blog post, I’ll explore ten easy and exciting activities to make your sleepover an unforgettable experience.
1. Mocktails and Sparkling Welcome Drinks
As a welcome activity to your sleepover, get your guests to decorate and personalise plastic flutes with stick on gems and letters.
Serve welcome mocktails or jazz up some lemonade with flavoured sparkle drops. It add some glamour to your evening and feels very grown up!

2. Hilarious Games Bonanza
Kick off the celebrations gently with a few games that will get the giggles flowing. Here’s a few of my children’s faves;
- Beanboozle – totally hilarious, but have a bucket handy, as some of the jellybeans are disgusting 🤣.
- Exploding Kittens – a card game about kittens, it’s incredibly silly and lots of fun.
- Happy salmon – a noisy card game that’s easy to learn and very addictive.
- Bingo – a great ice breaker. I’ve found some free sleepover bingo printables to save you hunting for them.

3. Dance Party
Let the kids groove to their favourite tunes with a dance party. Clear an area for dancing, decorate with balloons and streamers, and create a playlist of their favourite songs. Encourage them to choreograph their own dances or teach each other simple routines. Add some glow sticks into the mix for an authentic disco vibe.
4. Crafts, crafts, crafts!
Unleash the kids’ creativity by setting up a craft station. This is where I come in. My range of totally fun and easy to run DIY craft party kits will be the talk of the town.
The ready made craft kits come with party bags to decorate, written instructions and video instructions that you can play at the party. They’re a sure fire way to save your sanity and keep things simple.
✨ For the 5-9’s the Get Stuffed Teddy making kits are the perfect activity for sleepovers. They’re also great to cuddle at movie time.
✨ The Mermaids and Mobiles kits, Craft Mania packs and fairy wand kits offer shorter craft activities that can be split up and completed at intervals throughout the sleepover.
✨ Teens and tweens will love the creativity that the tote bag decorating kits bring to the party.

5. DIY Pizza Party
Bring out the culinary creativity in the kids by making their own pizzas for dinner. Set up a pizza station with pre-made dough, a variety of toppings, and sauce options. Allow the children to design their own pizzas and serve them for dinner. It’s not just about the food; it’s a fantastic opportunity for teamwork and unleashing their inner chefs.

5. Photo booth
Grab all the fancy dress accessories you own and have a crazy photo shoot. For added glamour put up a sparkly backdrop, such as a foil fringed curtain or piece of fabric. Add some party decorations and photo booth props to create photos to treasure forever.

7. Indoor Camping:
Transform the living room into an indoor camping experience. Set up tents, sleeping bags, and string lights to create a cozy campsite atmosphere. Share campfire stories, play flashlight tag, and engage in shadow puppetry. For added excitement, project a starry night sky on the ceiling using a projector. This activity is sure to fuel their imaginations and create a unique sleepover experience.
8. Karaoke Night
Turn up the volume and unleash their vocal talents with a karaoke night. Rent or stream a karaoke machine or use a smartphone app. The kids can sing their hearts out to their favourite tunes and let the music bring the house down.
9. DIY Spa Retreat
Transform your sleepover into a relaxing spa retreat. Create homemade face masks using natural ingredients, set up nail polish stations, and give each other soothing hand massages. Dim the lights, play calming music, and enjoy a pamper party together.

10. Movie Marathon
No sleepover is complete without a movie marathon. Towards the end of the evening, start to wind things down with a film and the all-important snacks. Create a cozy atmosphere with pillows, blankets, and dim lighting. Allow the kids to select their favourite movies and let the fun begin! Provide a range of snacks, from popcorn to sweets, so the children can enjoy a full cinematic experience.
