Made By Me Craft Parties was founded by Lexy Browning over 11 years ago. I create fun, memorable and beautiful craft parties for children, teens and adults. I offer a mobile craft party service across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.

My craft parties and workshops are suitable for children’s parties, hen parties, wedding entertainment for kids, festivals, fetes, team-building, community groups, care homes, family fun days, and corporate days.

I offer a wide range of fun and exciting craft parties. The most popular choices are the Craft Mania party for younger children aged 5- 7, slime making, teddy making and bath bomb making at the Spa of Our Own Party. Whichever party you decide, with over 150 five-star craft party reviews from happy craft party customers on Google and Facebook, you won’t be disappointed.

I cover Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset, the New Forest, Hampshire and Wiltshire for craft parties. The first 20 miles from BH22 are included in the party price. For parties further afield, a travel charge of 50 p per mile and an hourly rate for travel time will be charged. We will discuss this before your booking is confirmed.

I’m happy to discuss travelling to larger parties, festivals and events that are further afield.

To host a craft party at home, all we need is a dining table, a garden table or a trestle table. If you have enough room for chairs, that’s great, but sometimes kids like to stand up when they’re creating. If you’re holding an adult event, chairs are essential.

As long as there is enough room for me to move around the table and guests, that is enough room!

If you’re concerned about space, please get in touch with me with a photo of your space and/or measurements. Alternatively, there are many reasonably priced venues available to hire (see below).

Craft parties can be held anywhere. You name it, I’ve probably done a party there! I’m a mobile craft party provider, so I’m happy to set up a craft party in your home or garden. But if you would like a bit more space, you can host a craft party in a church or village hall, community centre, cafes, restaurants, pubs (they often have function rooms).

If you need advice or inspiration on local hall hire Dorset Mums and BCP Mumbler both have comprehensive venue suggestions.

If you’re hiring a venue, I would recommend booking it for at least 3 -4 hours.

If the weather is favourable, yes, you can hold a craft party outdoors. Slime parties, ‘Get Stuffed’ Teddy Parties, A Spa of Our Own and the Tote-ally Crafty parties are probably best suited for outdoor crafting. Erecting a marquee is a great idea to shelter guests from the sun. If the weather is wet and/or windy, we will move the party indoors.

My craft parties are suitable for ages 5 and up; guests can be 4 if the birthday child is celebrating their 5th birthday. I offer a range of parties for children aged 5-9 and a more grown-up selection of craft parties for tweens and teens. Adults can choose any of the craft activities on my creative team building or crafty hen party packages.

Made By Me Craft Parties are suitable for both boys and girls. The Craft Mania party, slime making, Sunhats and Sunnies and ‘Get Stuffed‘ teddy making parties are all perfect for mixed gender parties. As well as the Witches and Wizards party. If you’re not sure which party is most suitable for your group, I’m happy to advise you.

I can cater for adults and children with additional needs. I have worked with community groups with additional needs and I’ve run parties and events for children with additional needs. As long as I know in advance, I can make adjustments to my parties. You can either call or email me to discuss your craft party requirements, or pop them on the booking form.

The slime parties and teddy-making parties are priced for up to 8 children and all other craft parties are priced for up to 10 children. You can have fewer children, but the price will be the same. If you would like more than 8-10 children, there is an additional per-person cost of around £20 – £25. For larger craft parties (more than 15), I need to bring an assistant with me to help the party run smoothly. This is included in your party price.

If you are hosting a small party or sleepover, my DIY Craft Party kits are the perfect alternative to booking my parties. YOu still get me on a video talking you through the craft projects and all the craft supplies are beautifully packaged and ready to go for your party. So no stressful party for you!

All Made By Me Craft Parties include;

• Paper party bags to decorate
• Tablecloths for the craft activities
• All craft supplies, tools and materials
• An hour and a half of craft activities led by an experienced party leader
• I clear away all stray craft supplies at the end of the party – you won’t know we were there!

All you need to provide are guests, cake and a venue.

Party bags are filled with everything the children make at the craft party. So there’s no need for you to provide party favours unless you want to. If you wish to pop cake or any extra party bag bits into the party bags, you can do this once they are decorated (usually about 15-20 minutes into the party).

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a venue, tables or chairs for your party at this time.

Made By Me Craft Parties are not messy! I design activities to be fun and creative without turning your home upside down. I provide tablecloths for the craft activities and aprons where necessary. For slime parties, I can put down floor coverings in the unlikely event of a spillage.

I spend 30 minutes clearing away after every party and spend time sweeping the floor of any stray crafty bits and bobs that may have fallen on the floor. The aim is that you have as little to do as possible!

Most craft party activities last for an hour and a half, unless you have booked a bespoke party or event. A typical party looks like this;

• I arrive 45 minutes before the party starts to set up
• Children arrive and decorate their party bag until all or most guests have arrived
• Pre-chosen craft activities are undertaken
• Time for a quick drink or snack can be taken between craft activities if needed
• The party ends after 1.5 hours and the children wash their hands before eating
• I need 30 minutes to clear away and tidy up. I may need longer for larger events.

Yes, Made by Me Craft Parties can be themed. Let me know when you book if you’re having a theme for your party. Whether your party is themed to a colour, cartoon character, movie, singer or band, I’ll make sure I provide craft supplies to fit your party.

Fear not! If you live outside of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, I have a range of fun, engaging, and easy DIY craft party kits that you can purchase and use to host a party at home.

My DIY craft party kits include everything needed to make your chosen craft activities, plus each activity is bagged up, so you don’t have to hunt for supplies. The only extras that you’ll need are a pair of scissors and a tablecloth.

Easy-to-follow written instructions are included, PLUS you’ll receive a link to a video guide that you can play at the party.

These kits are also great for small parties and sleepovers.

I send everything needed to run the party, all nicely packaged and ready to go in party bags. If you have a particular date that you need the kits for, please leave me a note in the checkout comments or drop me an email.

Please leave at least 1 week before your party date to order your DIY craft party kits, so that I can make sure it will arrive in time for your event or party.

All orders are posted via Royal Mail second class tracked, unless you contact me for a rush order and I’ll arrange express postage for an extra fee. DIY craft party kit orders can be posted nationwide. Unfortunately, I’m currently unable to post kits overseas.

You can book a craft party with me as far in advance as you like. As it’s only me running the craft parties, I only offer around 6 party slots per month. So booking well in advance is recommended, especially if you have a particular date in mind.

To book a craft party, all you need to do is get in touch via email at lexy@madebymeparties.co.uk or fill in the contact form with all your party details. Let me know your event date and timings, your location and which party you are interested in (if known).

To complete your booking, all you need to do is pay a £50 deposit (I’ll send an invoice via QuickBooks) and fill in a short, online booking form.

The balance payment for the party will be due 7 days before your party. At this point, I’ll need final guest numbers from you, too. If you’ve booked a ‘Get Stuffed’ teddy-making party, I’ll also need your guests’ teddy choices from the teddy menu.

Made By Me Craft Parties is fully insured and I’m DBS checked. Copies of these documents are available to view on request.

I understand that things don’t always go to plan and there may be a need for you to change the date or even cancel your booking. If this happens, please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.

Life happens and plans change. If a guest doesn’t attend on the day, I’ll put together a party bag with the supplies to do the craft at home. For a Spa of Our Own or Slime Making, the party leader will make the bath bombs or slime at the party, and the finished crafts can be passed to the guests.

If a guest is late to the party, the party leader will do their best to catch them up with the craft activities.

If you would like to add a last-minue guest to your craft party or event, please get in touch with me and I will do my best to make it happen!

Hello, I’m Lexy, the founder and owner of award-winning Made By Me Craft Parties and I have been running this wonderful craft business for over 11 years. Before setting up my business, I worked in conservation and as a Volunteer co-ordinator at Bournemouth University, where I organised and ran events, volunteer work parties and even overseas volunteer trips.

Being a self-taught crafter all my life, it’s in my blood. Craft trends change all the time, so I regularly attend craft workshops with other professionals to learn new skills to keep my parties fresh and exciting.
